Two young people (Alaya F & Karan Mehta) who are navigating through life and relationships, finding themselves l, looking for true love and being hungry for it. These two unfulfilled love tales, which are burdened by social status, caste, religion, and inequity, are hastily approaching one another.

By using the same actors throughout Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabat, two parallel storylines are told. Yakub (Karan Mehta), a Muslim, and Amrita (Alaya F), a Hindu, flee together to attend a concert, where Muslim boy starts feeling for Hindu girl in the first story.

In second story Alaya F played Played role of Pakistani girl as Ayesha and karan Mehta played role of Indian boy Harmeet.

And these two stories are attached with the one string ‘DJ MOHABBAT’.

The main character and driving force of Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat is Alaya F as Amrita and Ayesha. She captivates you with her captivating presence and expertly conveys the complexity of each of her characters.

Karan’s performance is also outstanding and characters are interesting because of the emotional graph he manipulates. He played most challenging role of Yakub and Harmeet.

Vicky, who plays DJ Mohabbat, is the film’s third protagonist. Almost three years later, watching the actor Vicky Kaushal on big screen with NEVER-SEEN-BEFORE AVATAR. Every time he appears on the screen, he is a breeze and only radiates lovely energy, making you grin.

Anurag Kashyap, the most influential Indian filmmaker of recent times with a career spanning more than fifty films as director, producer, screenwriter, editor, and actor, was named a Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres during the Festival de Cannes’ celebration of 100 years of Indian cinema.

Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat presents you with yet another damaged love story in the “Anurag Kashyap” vein that deals with prejudices of all types and presents a murky picture. Anyone unfamiliar with Kashyap’s world may find it difficult to follow the switching between the parallel moving tales, especially when the same actors are portraying different roles. At times, you might even think that these are the accounts of the same persons from several time periods. However, with DJ Mohabbat’s narration, the difference becomes more noticeable with time, and the intercutting between the two stories is beneficial to the story.

The film despite not being one of Anurag’s best efforts, but it surely has a heart and emotions. If you are AK fan no one can stop to watch movie in theaters but many might wait to release on OTT.
